Sailing Key West

The day after fishing the reef, the weather forecast took a turn for the worse.  15-20 knot winds put an end to visions of running out for Mahi in a small boat.  Instead, we took my buddy’s house/boat out – a 35′ catamaran affectionately called the “Bay Cat” – as far as the Gulfstream.  Out 12 miles from Key West, in cobalt blue water, and without even a tap from a dolphin, we turned around to head back.  The 10′ seas helped us make that call…
